PW's Canadian Bouldering Rankings take publicly-available results and assign values to each climber's result. This value is based on the their placing, the format of the event, and the strength of the field. An event's results stay relevant for one year, with its weight decreasing over time.
This system is entirely dependent on competitions publicly sharing their final results. If you're a gym operator or competition organizer, please publish your results!
Thanks to Alex and Tylar Stringer for helping me turn my thoughts into math. If you think you can help out with making this system better (especially if you have statistical analysis or database management skills), reach out to tyler@plasticweekly.com.
